A former senior ANZ private banker has been named as the new Team Head for the bank's Southeast Asia business, the bank said in a statement today.
RBC Wealth Management, part of Royal Bank of Canada, has announced the appointment of Rohit Bhalla as Executive Director, Team Head.
Bhalla has over 16 years’ experience in financial services, most recently with ANZ where he was Senior Director and Team Head, Private Bank Singapore.
His leadership and sales management experience also includes previous roles at Deutsche Bank and Citibank.
Based in Singapore, Bhalla will focus on building client relationships and leveraging Royal Bank of Canada’s multi-solution product line.
Management Moves
In the new role he will report to Tho Gea Hong, Head of Wealth Management, Southeast Asia.
In March 2016 finews.asia reported that RBC had hired Tho Gea Hong in Singapore as the Head of Wealth Management, Southeast Asia.
This followed the departure of Grace Barki from RBC, who is now Managing Director covering Southeast Asia at Pictet in Singapore.
In June last year RBC reshuffled its Singapore management structure.
