American International Group has announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer for Singapore and Head of Country Operations, Southeast Asia.
Claudia Salem takes on the new role, she succeeds Matt Harris, who is leaving American International Group (AIG) to pursue other opportunities.
Salem will report to Gaurav D. Garg, President and CEO, Personal Insurance, the company said in a press release.
Prior to being named as the new Singapore head Salem served in several global leadership roles since joining AIG in 2003, and has a strong understanding of the Southeast Asian region.
She was most recently Global Head of Shared Services, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where she led strategic and organisational transformation, working closely with the Consumer and Commercial businesses.
«Claudia is a great addition to the leadership team as we progress on our strategic growth in Singapore and key markets in Southeast Asia,» said Garg.
