BNP Paribas' private bank has hired a veteran of J.P. Morgan in Asia away from the American investment bank.
The French bank said it is hiring Lemuel Lee in its wealth division as deputy head of investment services in Asia-Pacific.
The former head of equities as J.P. Morgan's private bank in Asia, Lee will oversee investments and advisory to clients in Hong Kong – where he will be head of investment services – as well as advancing new initiatives.
He succeeds Maggie Tsui, who remains a special adviser and will report to Arnaud Tellier, head of investment services in Asia.
Private Bank Move
«Lemuel’s experience will bolster our holistic suite of services across target client segments. And, in turn, help drive our strategic ambitions in transforming client servicing across Asia,» Tellier said.
Lee is a long-standing investment banker in Asia, and spent nearly 10 years with J.P. Morgan, including in equity derivatives distribution and marketing before moving to the private bank in 2016.
He previously worked for Bear Stearns and Merrill Lynch.
