Financial services group Manulife has made an internal promotion for the role of Vice President and Chief Product Officer, Individual Financial Products, Hong Kong.
Taking up the role with immediate effect is Wilton Kee who joined Manulife in 2013 as Assistant Vice President & Pricing Officer, Individual Financial Products.
In 2015 Kee took on the dual role of heading up both marketing actuarial and product development for the individual financial products business, in which he played an active part in its overall strategy and direction.
Product Range Overhauled
Prior to joining Manulife Kee was Vice President, Senior Insurance Risk Officer at ING Insurance Asia/Pacific
Over the last three since joining the Toronto based firm Kee has revamped Manulife’s products substantially, making them customer-focused, competitive and timely to market.
15 Year DBS Deal
On top of this, he has been instrumental in helping the company build new bancassurance business by developing unique customer solutions for the clients of some of the leading banks in Hong Kong.
In January this year DBS Bank and Manulife Financial Asia announced their 15-year regional distribution agreement covering Hong Kong, Singapore, China and Indonesia. As part of the agreement, Manulife is the key provider of bancassurance solutions to DBS customers in these four markets.
