For the second time in a week HSBC Private Bank has announced a senior move in its Asian business unit naming a new Regional Head of Global Solutions Group.
Johnny Liu has been named as Managing Director, Regional Head of Global Solutions Group (GSG), Asia-Pacific, he takes up the role with immediate effect, the bank said in a statement.
Based in Hong Kong, Liu brings 15 years of investment banking experience in Europe and Asia-Pacific to the role, including the last 12 years with Credit Suisse, most recently as Head of Shareholder Coverage and Corporate Advisory in Greater China.
In this role, Liu and his team will work closely with other HSBC Global Businesses, including Global Banking and Markets and Commercial Banking, to develop bespoke solutions and non-traditional wealth management ideas for some of the Bank’s top clients.

Earlier this week HSBC Private Bank announced two senior appointments to its Global Private Banking unit. The new regional head of the Private Bank transitioning from the Commercial Banking business.
Siew Meng Tan succeeded Bernard Rennell as Regional Head of Global Private Banking (GPB), Asia-Pacific with effect from 1 January 2017, subject to regulatory approval.
