The alts investment platform has appointed a senior executive with over two decades of industry experience .
Singapore-based Xen, a platform for private market investments, has appointed Alastair Ding as chief commercial officer, the firm announced in a press release.
In the newly created role, Ding will grow its distribution capabilities and establish long-term relationships with new partners in the region, the statement said.
Ding joins from Value Partners Asset Management, where he was Country Head & Sales Director. His experience in treasury and investment advisory services goes back to 1993, when he joined HSBC as an officer. He spent almost 10 years at Citi, and has also seen stints at ABN Amro, Credit Suisse and Nikko Asset Management, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Xen was founded in 2018, and is backed by the likes of Seah, TTB Partners, Envy Capital and 3 T Venture Capital partners. In 2019, it appointed Yong Hak Huh, former CIO of Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and Bernard Phang, former managing director of GIC, to its advisory board.
