The Liechtenstein-based bank is poaching a KMPG specialist in audits related to compliance matters.
VP Bank is naming Markus Rohner as head of its internal audit, effective from September, it said in a statement on Friday. He replaces Nick Bloechlinger, who is staying with the bank but taking on a new, undisclosed role.
Currently a director at KPMG's Swiss financial services practice, Rohner is responsible audits such as anti-money laundering, suitability, cross-border issues, outsourcing, corporate governance or internal control systems. He is a 16-year-veteran of the big-four auditing firm.
In the new job, Rohner will report to VP chairman Thomas Meier, formerly Julius Baer's top banker in Asia. Bloechlinger will hold down the job until Rohner joins VP Bank later this year.
