We're going to continue to get people on the network and build on the transaction front for more sending and receiving opportunities to people on the network. Second, we want to look at new business opportunities, including on-demand liquidity, line of credit, lending, and finally to continue to build our team and keep the engagement with regulators going. 

What's the best piece of advice you've received so far?

Two things have been absolutely key for me: the first is that the client always comes first, which was instilled in me during my time at Goldman Sachs. As a relationship builder and client coverage person, that was an incredibly important lesson for me. 

Second, as an overall career strategy, is to always put yourself in front of growth markets, be it companies, products or businesses that are riding the wave of growth. If you think of APAC, fintech, crypto – being based in Singapore, you've got all that in spades. So I feel that I'm adhering to that advice with Ripple right now. 


Brooks Entwistle is the managing director for Asia Pacific at Ripple. He was previously Uber's chief business officer, international and CEO of Everstone Capital, a India and Southeast Asia-focused private equity and real estate investment firm. He was also a partner at Goldman Sachs, where he spent 22 years in various capacities, including CEO and founder of Goldman Sachs India, chairman of Southeast Asia and CEO of Singapore. Earlier, he served as a district electoral supervisor with the UN's Transitional Authority in Cambodia.
