4. Does being homosexual make me less deserving to take the reins?

So far, finews.asia editors have yet to see the heirs of billion-dollar empires in Asia declare their sexual orientation and still get the patriarch's public blessings to take over the reins. One reason could be lack of disclosure, while another could be genuine concerns about passing on the business to the third generation.  

In 2018, Hong Kong property tycoon Cecil Chao made waves by offering $65 million to any man who could win the heart of his lesbian daughter Gigi Chao and make her «straight». This triggered her to become one of Asia's most prominent gay rights campaigners, as reported by «Reuters».

Homosexuality is only starting to gain acceptance in Asia, it seems. Recent advertisements by Hong Kong's railway company MTR and Cathay's advertisement featuring homosexual couples have stirred up hot debate, as per reports in «South China Morning Post».
