HSBC has hired a 20-year private banking veteran from UBS to cover the North Asia market.
Bryce Wan joins HSBC's private banking arm as its market head for North Asia, according to a statement, effective August 12.
Based in Hong Kong, Wan is tasked with covering the Hong Kong as well as offshore China and Taiwan segments globally. He will report to APAC head of global private banking Siew Meng Tan.
Wan has more than two decades of private banking experience in the region, most recently with UBS where he was last its market team head of global family and institutional wealth for the Hong Kong and China markets where he served the needs of sophisticated family office and ultra-high net worth clients. Previously, he also spent 19 years at Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management where he was its head of portfolio management group in Asia.
