Credit Suisse has announced a pair of promotions for its private banking business in Greater China.

Credit Suisse appoints Rickie Chan as the single market group head for wealth management Hong Kong, according to a statement.

Chan is a 25-year wealth management veteran, particularly for the ultra-high net worth segment. He joined Credit Suisse in February 2014 and has achieved double-digit growth for the Hong Kong market over the last six years.

«Hong Kong is a key strategic market and one of Credit Suisse’s regional hubs for Wealth Management Asia Pacific,» said head of wealth management APAC Benjamin Cavalli. «As part of the bank’s accelerated growth plans, we decided to combine the two Hong Kong market groups to create greater synergy under the leadership of [Chan].»

Separately, former co-Hong Kong market group Eddy Sze has been named vice chairman Greater China with a focus on client engagement, collaboration opportunities and grooming of the bank’s talent pool.
