Julius Baer has hired a former private banker from Standard Chartered, finews.asia has learned, to strengthen its coverage of the Greater China market.
Jack Wu joins Julius Baer as group head Greater China, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia, based in Hong Kong.
Wu has more than 30 years of banking experience, including 23 years focused on private banking in the Greater China region. He was most recently a China market leader at Standard Chartered Private Bank. Previously, he held other senior positions at HSBC and Credit Suisse, also serving Greater China clients.

We recognize the immense potential and opportunities within this dynamic market,» said head of Greater China and branch manager Hong Kong David Shick.
When contacted, a spokesperson for the bank confirmed the contents of the memo.
