UK-based alternatives solutions provider S64 has hired a former J.P. Morgan Asset Management executive to lead its Australasian business.

David Hallifax has joined S64 as head of Australia and New Zealand, according to a statement. Based in Melbourne, he is responsible for spearheading the firm’s expansion in the region.

Hallifax has over two decades of distribution and private markets experience, most recently serving as head of Australia and New Zealand funds at J.P. Morgan Asset Management for nearly 10 years. Previously, he also held senior leadership roles at Schroders and AMP Capital Investors.

«Australia and New Zealand are strategic markets for S64 where we expect to significantly bolster our presence over the coming months,» said S64 founder and CEO Tarun Nagpal.

APAC Expansion

S64 has been expanding in the broader Asia Pacific region in recent times, including with the hire of head of Japan Hiroaki Ohhigashi in June.

Based in the UK, S64 is a global alternatives solutions provider focused on private markets, across private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure and impact. It works with asset managers, wealth managers and private banks with a tech platform that offers full life cycle management of assets from structuring and onboarding, to financing and secondary market capabilities.
