London-based Barclays has hired a former Deutsche Bank executive to lead credit trading in the Asia Pacific region.
Barclays has appointed Abhay Kumar Sinha as co-head of credit trading, Asia Pacific, according to a statement. Based in Singapore, he reports regionally to Hossein Zaimi, head of markets, APAC, and functionally to Drew Mogavero, global head of credit products. In the role, Sinha will co-lead the credit business with James Roberts.
Sinha has more than 25 years of experience in the credit industry. He joins from Deutsche Bank where he worked since 2006, helping develop their structured finance business, lead their corporate financing business in India and engage in special situations. Prior to that, he was the head of legal for various corporate divisions within ICICI Bank.
