Union Bancaire Privée has hired Bank of Singapore’s former Greater China vice chair to lead its North Asia business.
UBP has appointed Teresa Lee as region head North Asia and chief executive Hong Kong, according to a statement. She succeeds 37-year veteran Ivan Wong who retired in May.
Lee joins UBP from Bank of Singapore where she was its head of Greater China before later becoming Greater China vice chair. Prior to that, she also worked at Standard Chartered and ABN AMRO.
«Teresa's strategic insights, client connectivity, and extensive experience in different market environments make her ideally suited to lead the next phase of UBP’s growth in the region,» said Asia CEO Michael Blake. «Her appointment aligns with our ambitious plans to accelerate business development in North Asia and reaffirms our confidence in Hong Kong as a leading global wealth management hub.»
