BNY Investments Appoints Head of Japan

The investment arm of Bank of New York Mellon has announced the appointment of a head of Japan.

BNY Investments has appointed Masaaki Sakakibara as head of Japan, according to a LinkedIn announcement. In the role, he reports to Asia Pacific CEO Doni Shamsuddin.

Masaaki was most recently working at Mercer Japan as its wealth business country leader and CEO of Mercer Investments (Japan). Previously, he also worked at Western Asset Management and Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
