J. Safra Sarasin Nets J.P. Morgan Trio in Hong Kong
Basel-based J. Safra Sarasin has hired three wealth management veterans in Asia who previously worked at J.P. Morgan Private Bank.
Bank J. Safra Sarasin has appointed May Hsu as chairman Asia, according to a statement. She succeeds longtime private banking veteran and former APAC chair of BNP Paribas Wealth Management Mignonne Cheng who has been promoted to executive chairman Asia.
Hsu has nearly 40 years of wealth management experience, most recently as vice chairman, Asia at J.P. Morgan Private Bank.

The bank also hired Guo Quan Ng and Lawrence Lee as part of a new team that will further drive business development in the Greater China markets. Both Ng and Hsu report to Andy Chai, CEO Asia and member of J. Safra Sarasin's executive committee. Ng has more than 16 years of experience in the financial industry, including 14 years at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Lee has almost 30 years of financial experience, including over 20 years at J.P. Morgan Private Bank.
