Standard Chartered named a seasoned banker as its head in Singapore. The appointment follows the sudden exit earlier this year of high-profile executive Anna Marrs.
British-based bank Standard Chartered named the current head of global banking, Singapore, as its new CEO in the city-state. Patrick Lee will take over the role from Judy Hsu, currently Standard Chartered's CEO for Singapore and ASEAN markets, according to a media statement from the bank on Monday.
Lee will be based in Singapore and will report to Hsu, a former Citi banker who was promoted in March. Lee will remain head of global banking in Singapore until a successor is announced.
He joined Standard Chartered in 2012 and has 25 years of experience in the banking industry across corporate and investment banking. Hsu took on the role of Singapore CEO following the departure of Anna Marrs, who relocated to London with American Express.
