The leading life insurer headquartered in Japan has added to its Singapore team as it pursues its strategic growth plan.
Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore (TMLS) has brought a pair of senior executives on board: Gilbert Pak as chief marketing officer and Michael Kuek as chief & appointed actuary, the firm announced in a press release on Thursday.
These moves will enable the firm to strengthen its focus on product development and strategy, TMLS said.
«With their vast experience and sound business knowledge, both hires are assets to TMLS. Holding leadership responsibilities with key areas of focus in product strategy, they will put TMLS on a stronger path for future growth,» CEO Christopher Teo said in the statement.
Industry Stalwarts
Pak (pictured below) brings over 27 years of experience in marketing, product development, actuarial and financial management. He was most recently Allianz Asia Pacific's regional head of product management, a position he has held for eight years.

Kuek has worked in the insurance industry for almost 24 years, most recently as the chief actuary of China Life Insurance Co. (Singapore) and Great Eastern Life Indonesia.
