The Swiss private bank has found a replacement for Enid Yip, who joins its board of directors.
J. Safra Sarasin has appointed Andy Chai as Asia CEO, according to a statement by the bank.
The senior executive brings to the firm more than 20 years' experience in wealth management, private equity, corporate finance and consulting. He was most recently the Co-CEO of BNP Paribas' wealth management division, a role he left after just two months after his appointment in August 2019.
New Deputy CEO
At the same time, the Basel-based firm also promoted Vinay Gandhi (pictured above) to deputy CEO for Asia. Gandhi, who became Singapore CEO in 2018, will continue to hold that position and lead J. Safra Sarasin’s UNHW division in Asia.
He replaces Yelandur Nagendra, who is retiring from the firm.
