A former US vice president is visiting Hong Kong to speak at a UBS event this month.

Mike Pence will visit Hong Kong to speak at «UBS Wealth Insight 2025» on January 16, according to the bank's agenda published online. He will deliver an opening address titled «An insider view: a new future unfolds for the US and the world» to share his perspective on the US election and its global implications on international relations, economic policies and geopolitical dynamics.

According to an «SCMP» report citing unnamed sources, Pence will visit Hong Kong on a private trip and will meet business leaders in the city but not government officials.

Pence served as the US vice president under Donald Trump’s previous term from 2017 to 2021.
