Boutique wealth manager Paragon Capital Management Singapore has hired a former Bank of Singapore executive as a new managing director.
Paragon Capital Management Singapore (PCMS) hired Sean Quek as a managing director and senior portfolio manager, according to a statement, effective immediately.
Quek will lead the management of a new equities-focused fund planned for launch in October.
Quek has 20 years of experience in capital markets and wealth management including nine with Bank of Singapore, where he was last its alpha team head and tasked with generating global multi-asset high conviction investment ideas. Previously, he also worked with Credit Suisse for 14 years, last as its Singapore head of research.
Bank PM Hires
The addition of Quek marks the second hire of a former bank executive as a portfolio manager this year.
In July, PCMS named ex-head of fixed income at Credit Suisse Carinn Neo as a managing director and lead portfolio manager.
