Forvis Mazars Strengthens Singapore Leadership
Several appointments mark a decisive step in Forvis Mazars’ ongoing commitment to inclusive leadership, talent development, and diversity in governance.
Effective 6 October 2025, Forvis Mazars welcomed Chan Xue Pei as its newest Tax Partner, while Quek Siew Eng, Cheryl Koh, and Ellyn Tan have been promoted to key leadership positions within the Singapore office and across the Asia-Pacific region, according to a media release sent on Monday.
Women now make up 32 percent of the firm’s senior management team in Singapore – a testament to Forvis Mazars’ growing focus on leadership diversity and empowerment.
New Tax Partner Brings Two Decades of Expertise
Chan Xue Pei brings more than 20 years of experience in international tax planning and advisory, with a deep specialisation in financial services, banking, insurance, and asset management. She is recognised for her work on ESG-aligned tax initiatives, including carbon tax, BEPS Pillar 2, and family office structuring.
«As global tax rules evolve and ESG considerations gain importance, clients are seeking clarity and strategic insight,» Xue Pei said. «I’m passionate about turning complexity into opportunity and helping businesses build resilient, future-ready tax strategies.»
Elevating Women Across Key Leadership Roles
In her new role, she will focus on strengthening Forvis Mazars’ financial services and asset management practices, while enhancing client relationships across global and mid-sized institutions.
Alongside this appointment, three senior professionals have been promoted to pivotal positions:
- Quek Siew Eng becomes Regional Quality and Risk Management (QRM) Leader for the Group and Asia Pacific, overseeing the firm’s quality and compliance frameworks across six regions.
«Growth comes through embracing challenges and learning from those around us,» she said. «I look forward to upholding the highest standards of integrity and empowering our people to lead with purpose and impact.» - Cheryl Koh takes over as Head of Quality Management, succeeding Quek. With two decades of experience advising SGX-listed and multinational firms, she has been instrumental in implementing Forvis Mazars’ quality management system and Singapore Standard on Quality Management (SSQM 1).
«Quality is not just about compliance – it’s about building trust and driving excellence,» she noted. - Ellyn Tan has been named Head of Financial Advisory, specialising in cross-border restructuring, litigation, and asset recovery. She has advised on major multi-jurisdictional liquidations and corporate insolvencies.
«This appointment reflects the trust of my colleagues and clients,» Tan said. «It reaffirms my commitment to growing our advisory practice with integrity – and to creating space for more women to lead with confidence in this industry.»
Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
The appointments reflect Forvis Mazars’ broader DE&I strategy and its purpose of fostering a workplace where all employees can grow, belong, and make an impact. Women represent 62 percent of the firm’s total workforce in Singapore, with steady progress toward gender balance at senior levels.
«Inclusive leadership strengthens both our culture and the quality of service we deliver to clients,» said Rick Chan, Managing Partner of Forvis Mazars in Singapore. «With these appointments, we’re building a leadership team that reflects the diverse society we serve.»
