Wine.Delivery is a tech company that sells wine and not a wine company that uses tech, as founder Alex Caballero likes to point out.
The company was the brainchild of Alex Caballero (pictured above) who also runs the financial consulting firm Acalution. He is a Swiss, sharing a passion for tech, a love of great wine and customer experience, which he united in 2015 with the creation of Wine.Delivery – to address the needs of wine drinkers in Asia.
His purpose is to enable the eco-system through technology for the creation of memorable customer experiences. What sets Wine.Delivery apart is the access to the largest catalogue of wine and spirits in Singapore in one place, with free next day delivery and no minimum purchases. Customers can find wine from all over the world and be assured that it has been properly stored and transported, which is particularly critical in Singapore’s climate.
Memorable Customer Experiences
As part of Wine.Delivery’s commitment to agile supply chain management in the tech, wine and experience eco-system, it also offers additional logistics support and has expansion plans in place for 2018. The company also empowers importers, as they can list their wines on the site, at their choice of price point.
Once listed Wine.Delivery’s logistics team handles the rest, making this a very interesting service for importers and wholesalers who are looking for access to private clients alongside their sales to restaurants. With an inhouse engineering team, the company is constantly innovating and is able to adapt quickly to suggestions from both clients and merchants using the online marketplace.
Constantly Innovating
Having realised that many purchases were being sent as gifts, Wine.Delivery recently added a gift giving function providing clients with a one stop hassle free solution for sending presents from abroad without paying shipping costs, which is proving particularly successful with the expat community.
