The stars Singapore Symposium had its third edition this February and was held under the banner «Asia – The New Normal». Here are some impressions of this 4-day event.
The stars foundation is a neutral and independent not-for-profit organization registered in Stein am Rhein in Switzerland. It wants to develop better leaders of the next generation and be the premier platform for these future leaders.
The symposium held from 24 to 27 February in Singapore welcomed 111 international participants, aged 35 to 45 years, mainly from business but also from science, politics, culture, NGOs and the media (e.g. finews.asia), typically C-level-minus one or two, nominated by chairmen, CEOs and other outstanding individuals.
During the 4-day programme a significant number of high-level experts reflected on topics such as «2030 – Challenges and Choices», «A World in Turmoil and Transition», «Understanding the Modern Threat Landscape of the Internet» and «The International Financial Architecture». Among the distinguished speakers were:
Edmund Koh, UBS, Siong Guan Lim, GIC, Nagi Hamiyeh, Temasek, Markus R. Neuhaus, PWC, Jing Huang, National University of Singapore, Ping Huang, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing, Takanori Seki, salesforce.com, Urs Schoettli, Consultant on Asian Affairs, and many more.
