BNY Mellon Investment Management has hired a new head of intermediary for Southeast Asia.

BNY Mellon Investment Management hired Paul Liu for the newly created role of head of intermediary, Southeast Asia, according to a statement.

Based in Singapore, Liu will focus on increasing awareness in BNY Mellon Investment Management’s specialist firms and growing assets amongst private banks, family offices, fintech firms and strategic partnerships.

Liu joins from Guotai Junan International Asset Management Singapore where he was most recently a sales director. Previously, he had also worked with Lombard Odier Investment Managers as its head of wholesale for Asia ex-Japan and UOB Asset Management as its head of retail sales.
