Italian asset manager Eurizon has hired a new head of business development and marketing as part of broader expansion plans in Asia.
Richard Mo was named head of business development and marketing, according to a statement, tasked with leading distribution in Asia.
In his new role, he will work closely with Eurizon Capital Asia chief executive and chief investment officer Sean Debow.
Mo has over 20 years of asset management experience, most recently with Jupiter Asset Management where he was its head of business development for China and Taiwan. Previously, he also worked for J.P. Morgan for 15 years in various managerial roles for the same markets.
Asia Expansion
In the region, Eurizon Capital Asia has grown its assets under management (AUM( to more than $1 billion across three funds invested in Chinese equities, emerging markets and Asian equities.
The Milan-headquartered firm also has a Chinese-speaking team based in London managing a renminbi bond fund with over $3 billion in AUMs.
Globally, Eurizon has more than $510 billion in AUMs, as of the end of June 2021.
