Asia-focused British lender HSBC has appointed a veteran from the technology sector as a new board member.
Andrea Della Mattea has been named an independent non-executive director on HSBC’s board, according to a statement.
Della Mattea has 25 years of experience in the tech sector and is currently the APAC president of Microsoft. Previously, she held senior leadership roles at Insight Enterprises and Software Spectrum.

«[Della Mattea] global experience and leadership in this field will be an invaluable addition to the Board as we digitize at scale to create better customer experiences, make the Bank more efficient, and use technology to protect customers from financial crime.»
