The asset management arm of HSBC expanded its responsible investing capabilities with the hire of a former Amundi executive.
HSBC Asset Management has appointed Kristy Wong as head of responsible investments specialists, Asia, according to a LinkedIn post. Based in Hong Kong, she will focus on driving client engagement and product development, helping raise brand visibility and building client awareness across Asia on ESG (environmental, social and governance), climate and responsible investing topics.
Wong previously held ESG roles at Amundi, Bank of America and Ernst & Young. She is also the chair of the advisory board for the Master of Science in ESG Management at Hong Kong-based Lingnan University.
