The latest addition to Singapore’s bustling Orchard Road corridor shines a spotlight on local and global beats and treats.
The Montreux Jazz Festival founded by Claude Nobs, which showcases jazz, rock and pop music, celebrates its 50-year anniversary. The latest addition to the Montreux Jazz Café outlets has just opened in Singapore. Located in a space within the Pan Pacific Orchard, with a capacity for up to 500, guests can expect to be treated to all forms of great live music, via a regular programme featuring local and regional acts.
Spirit of Improvisation
As the world’s gateway to Asia, Montreux Jazz Café Singapore brings together East and West to showcase performances championing the spirit of the Festival – grounded in jazz and blues while embracing the spirit of improvisation and experimentation to feature world music and eclectic artists, including genres such as rock, pop and hip-hop.
In addition to musical performances, the Café offers a menu inspired by Claude Nobs’ background in gastronomy; memorable moments await dancers and diners alike.
Another Link between Singapore and Switzerland
«The Montreux Jazz Festival is one of the most loved and exciting musical brands globally, so we believe the Montreux Jazz Café in Singapore will undoubtedly be received very enthusiastically by a wide and diverse audience from around the region who not only enjoy live music, but are looking for experiential entertainment and dining,» Switzerland's Ambassador to Singapore, Thomas Kupfer, said.
«We are pleased to have the opportunity to strengthen and build another link between the two countries,» he added.
