AllianzGI Promotes Asia Fixed income CIO

The asset management arm of Munich-based Allianz has elevated its chief investment officer of Asia fixed income to a global role.

AllianzGI has promoted Jenny Zeng, currently chief investment officer (CIO) fixed income Asia Pacific, to become CIO fixed income, according to a statement, effective 1 January 2026.

To ensure a smooth journey, she will take on the additional role of deputy head of the fixed income platform, effective immediately.

Succession Plan

The move is part of a broader succession plan for Deborah Zurkow, global head of investments, who will retire later this year.

Other changes include the appointment Michael Krautzberger, currently global CIO fixed income, as CIO public markets and a member of the firm’s executive committee. He will also take on additional responsibilities for the public markets platform, effective June 1.

Michael Heldmann has been named CIO equity, effective October 1, succeeding Virginie Maisonneuve who has decided to leave AllianzGI at the end of December.

Head of distribution Europe, Edouard Jozan, will assume his new role as head of AllianzGI Private Markets, effective June 1, while also joining the executive committee.
