6. Poses and Props
The classic portrait pose is hands together at hip height, with good posture and head held high. It’s fine to mix it up – Pinterest lists hundreds of ideas for poses in corporate photography. Look straight into the camera – the photo is an attempt to establish contact.
Resist an overt power pose or «come hither» pucker, and appear as natural as possible. Use props sparingly: quirky props like designer chairs and rotary dial phones scream «eccentric Dr. Strangelove» and not «timeless visionary».
