The private banking arm of Citi has appointed a managing director overseeing several markets in Southeast Asia, finews.asia has learned.
Citi Private Bank has appointed Jennifer Tay as global market manager for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand (SMT), according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia.
Tay has worked at Citi Private Bank since 1997. Prior to her latest role as interim global market manager for SMT since June, she led a team of senior bankers in the same three markets while also directly handling a portfolio of ultra-high net worth clients in Singapore and Indonesia. Before joining the relationship management team, she led managed investments sales, investment counseling and portfolio counseling.
She joins the private bank from Citi’s corporate and institutional bank. Previously, she worked at Standard Chartered and OCBC.
A spokesperson for the bank confirmed the appointment.
