The current Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO of Falcon Private Bank will join Avaloq. He succeeds Markus Groeninger as CEO of Avaloq’s Swiss Business Process Outsourcing centre.
Markus Groeninger has been promoted to the Avaloq Group Executive Board and takes over the responsibility for all existing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) centres in the Avaloq Global Processing Network, according to a statement on Tuesday. In this new role, he will be globally in charge of the harmonisation and further strengthening of Avaloq’s live BPO centres in Switzerland, the European Union and Asia Pacific.
As CEO of Avaloq Sourcing (Switzerland & Liechtenstein) and member of the Avaloq Executive Board, Tobias Unger will be responsible for the future development of Avaloq’s BPO centre for Switzerland and Liechtenstein within the Avaloq group’s Global Processing Network (GPN). Unger’s broad banking know-how and operational management experience enable him to lead the company in the next phase of its development, the Swiss company writes.
Familiar With Avaloq
Unger joins Avaloq from Zurich based Falcon Private Bank, where he served as the COO and Deputy CEO since 2010. In this function, among other responsibilities, he oversaw Falcon Private Bank’s outsourcing of its core banking IT and back office to Avaloq since the beginning of the cooperation in 2011.
Before joining Falcon Private Bank he worked as an Investment Banker both at UBS and Merrill Lynch in Zurich and in London. He holds a Master Degree in Law from the University of Berne.
