Decalia Asset Management has hired an experienced manager from a French rival to take care of two new funds.
Clément Maclou has joined Decalia Asset Management, a wealth manager founded by former Syz bankers and based in Geneva.
Together with three other bankers, Maclou will manage the «Decalia Silver Generation» and «Decalia Millennials» funds, the company said in a statement.
Top Ratings
Maclou for seven years worked as a fund manager for CPR Asset Management, a unit of France-based Amundi. He had started his career at Martin Maurel Gestion in Paris.
Morningstar, the U.S. provider of investment research, awarded Maclou with 5 stars, its top rating. The U.K.-based firm Citywire gave him an «AA», the second-highest mark.
Syz Connection
Decalia Asset Management used to be known as Dalia Capital before a rebranding in October 2014. Alfredo Piacentini and Paolo Luban, two founders of Syz Bank, joined the company at that point.
Decalia has had substantial growth in the past two years, is currently managing some 2 billion francs and employs 25 people.
