HSBC Private Bank has announced two senior appointments in its Global Private Banking unit. The new regional head of the Private Bank will transition from the Commercial Banking business.
Siew Meng Tan will succeed Bernard Rennell as Regional Head of Global Private Banking (GPB), Asia-Pacific with effect from 1 January 2017, subject to regulatory approval, the bank said in a statement.
Siew Meng joins GPB from Commercial Banking, where she was most recently Regional Head of Global Trade and Receivables Finance, Asia-Pacific. Siew Meng has been with HSBC for 12 years and, prior to her current role, has held a variety of senior roles including CEO Mauritius and CEO Thailand.
Bernard Rennell (pictured) has been appointed Senior Advisor to the CEO, Key Client Coverage, GPB. These appointments follow Rennell's request to transition from his current role as Regional Head of GPB, Asia-Pacific to focus more on the client side.
As Senior Advisor to the CEO, Key Client Coverage, GPB, Bernard Rennell will have responsibility for developing and managing relationships with key clients across Asia-Pacific and globally and will also continue to lead Family Governance and Family Enterprise Succession globally.
