Expecting a strong deal flow into 2017, Swiss bank UBS has hired a former «rainmaker» for a new post in M&A business in Hong Kong.
Zurich-based UBS has lured Pei Shen Chou away from Deutsche Bank. He will be joining the investment banking division as managing director and co-head of Asia M&A based in Hong Kong.
He will work alongside Samson Lo, reporting to Alison Harding-Jones, head of M&A advisory for Asia Pacific, according to an internal memo on Thursday.
Chou was Deutsche Bank’s head of China MA before and is now on gardening leave before starting his new role in February 2017.
