WithersKhattarWong, the Singapore arm of Withers, has hired a private funds and cross-border investment specialist to join the firm as a partner.
Daniel Yong joins the Singapore-based office alongside a team of two associates after moving from law firm Morgan Lewis. Previously, he also practiced at Norton Rose and Jones Day.
Young advises private equity funds and corporate clients on several areas including regulatory and licensing issues, cross-border M&A and PE investment transactions in the Asia Pacific region, including India and China.
Yong joins in the midst of ongoing expansion of Wither’s Asia funds practice including the hire of a team of investment funds and real estate partners last October to the firm’s Tokyo and Hong Kong offices.
«The growth of the firm's funds capabilities in Asia reflects the evolving asset and wealth management landscape in Singapore, as well as the rising trend of private capital participation in significant investment transactions through fund structures,» Withers added.
