The appointment will enable the firm to take a more customer-focused approach in growing its business in Singapore, the insurer said.
Sydney-based business insurance provider QBE has appointed Ronak Shah as its Singapore CEO, the firm announced in a press release on Wednesday.
Based in Singapore, Shah will be responsible for the firm's operations in the city-state. He reports to Jason Hammon, CEO of QBE Asia.
Shah joined QBE in 2017, and was most recently its Regional Head, Financial & Professional and Casualty Lines, Asia Pacific. According to his LinkedIn profile, Shah previously led JLT's ASEAN and South Asia Financial Lines Group and was VP Direct & Facultative for Allied World Assurance Company.
Streamlined Operations
QBE announced in October 2018 that it would streamline its business divisions to help build a more agile and customer-centered company moving forward, central to which is the newly created QBE International Division comprising its European and Asia operations.
finews.asia previously reported the appointment of Hammond as the firm's Asia CEO in February.
