Credit Suisse expands its private banking business in Australia with the addition of four hires to strengthen both its product capabilities and front office, finews.asia learned.
The bank hired to bolster its discretionary portfolio management (DPM) and fund capabilities, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia.
Jasmin Argyrou joins the bank as a director and portfolio manager within its DPM team, joining from Aberdeen Standard Investments where she was most recently its investment director for fixed income. Previously, she held various senior portfolio management positions with BNP Paribas, Schroders Investment Management and UBS Global Asset Management.
Jude McDonnell joins the bank’s fund advisory team in its Melbourne-based office. McDonnell was most recently with Lonsec where she was its multi-asset and fixed income head. Previously, she had more than 10 years of experience in managed funds research and consulting in Australia.
Front Office Hires
In addition, the bank also hired Rohan Serrao and David Jones-Pritchard to join its front office as relationship managers.
Serrao will be based in Melbourne, joining from JBWere where he was a senior member of its investment strategy and markets team, interfacing directly with private wealth clients. He has 19 years of experience, most of which was in institutional cash equity sales trading and research sales at Macquarie Bank and Nomura in Australia.
Jones-Pritchard joins from HSBC Private Bank's Sydney office where he was most recently responsible for ultra-high net worth families. He has over 20 years of experience in financial products and derivatives with former roles such as head of equity derivatives with Investec and head of structured products with J.P. Morgan.
