A former veteran of China Merchants Bank joins Credit Suisse to spearhead its onshore wealth management business in China, according to a note seen by finews.asia.
Wang Jing joins Credit Suisse as head of wealth management China onshore reporting functionally to Francois Monnet, North Asia head of private banking and Tang Zhenyi, chief executive of China, according to an internal note seen by finews.asia.
A spokesperson for the bank confirmed the hire.
Wang has more than 25 years of mainland China banking experience, joining from China Merchants Bank where she began her career since 1994 before pioneering its private banking business since 2007.
Third Party Partnerships
Wang's mandate includes growing the private banking franchise in China alongside the strategic development of third party partnership plans from strategy to execution.

Wang will initially be based in Hong Kong to familiarize herself with Credit Suisse’s banking platform, business strategy and culture.
