Global law firm Davis Polk adds a new partner to its Beijing office with a focus on equity capital markets.

Jason Xu joins Davis Polk as a partner, according to a statement, after most recently serving as a deputy head of equity capital markets in China for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he joined in 2007.

Xu’s practice focuses on issues related to equity capital markets such as Hong Kong listings, rights issuances and follow-on offerings. He also advises on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and regulations. He has experience across various sectors including tech, pharmaceuticals, financial, industrials and real estate. 

Davis Polk has a significant presence in China with more than 100 legal professionals in Beijing and Hong Kong.
