Manulife Investment Management reorganizes its emerging market fixed income unit under a newly appointed chief investment officer for the asset class.
Manulife IM has promoted Endre Pedersen to global emerging market fixed income CIO, according to a statement.
He will lead a 66-strong team with responsibility for over $46 billion in assets under management.
Pedersen is a 22-year emerging market fixed income vet and was most recently the deputy CIO for global fixed income.
Asia Reshuffle
To support the new structure, Manulife IM has also promoted Fiona Cheung, previously responsible for the firm’s credit activities in Asia ex-Japan, to head of global emerging market fixed income research.
Joseph Huang has also been promoted to head of South Asia fixed income research.
U.S. Shuffle
Head of U.S. fixed income research Don Tucker has been promoted to head of global developed market fixed income research.
And managing director and senior U.S. fixed income analyst Nick Pena has been elevated to sector leader in the emerging market fixed income research team.
