The now low-profiled Alibaba founder Jack Ma has reportedly resurfaced in Hong Kong, marking another rare appearance in public.
Jack Ma met at least «a few» business associates over meals last week in Hong Kong, according to a «Reuters» report citing unnamed sources.
This is believed to be Ma's first visit to the hub since last October when he openly criticized Chinese financial regulators.
Rare Appearances
After disappearing from public view in October, Ma resurfaced in a video in January this year speaking to a group of teachers.
Interestingly, Ma made another public appearance in April to attend the Russian Geographical Society's Moscow-based annual meeting as an online participant.
During the two-hour meeting chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ma did not say a single word while he was seen in a Chinese-style room sipping tea.
