Edinburgh-headquartered asset manager abrdn has named a new head of institutional clients for Asia Pacific.
Vivian Tang joins abrdn as head of institutional clients, APAC, according to a statement, effective March 22.
Based in Hong Kong, Tang will report to APAC chief executive Rene Buehlmann.
Tang has 20 years of experience in asset management, most recently with First Sentier Investors where she was its North Asia head of distribution Previously, she also held senior roles for the distribution and coverage of clients in Greater China and as an Asian equities investment specialist.
Team Restructuring
Tang's appointment completes the repositioning of abrdn’s APAC client group which aims to help «engage with clients in a more focused manner and provide better solutions for their needs».
The APAC client group is now led by Tang alongside head of wholesale clients David Hanzl and head of the client management office David Mitchell, all reporting to Buehlmann.
