The bank continues to unveil its new leadership for the regional wealth management unit.

Standard Chartered named Sachin Bhambani as the head of wealth management for South Korea, according to a statement released by the bank.

Bhambani is currently based in Singapore and he will relocate to Seoul in May 2022 for the role, which still pends regulatory approval.

He will have a double reporting line. In Korea, he will report to Hojune Ryan Chang, the Korean head of the consumer, private, and business banking business. At the group level, he will report to Marc Van de Walle, the global head of wealth management.

Bhambani is a bank veteran. He first joined Standard Chartered in 2000 in India. Since then, he has held various leadership roles at the bank including his current stint as the Singapore-based group head for life insurance.

The current step follows recent announcements related to the appointments of wealth business heads in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
