Credit Suisse Australia has made two new hires in its equities research division.
Yaying Dong will join Credit Suisse Australia as an equity strategist in mid-July, the bank said in a statement. Previously, he was at Mercer Investment Management as a market strategist, leading the dynamic asset allocation committee for Asia Pacific and globally, the press release said. Dong has also been an investment strategist at First State Super and an asset allocation strategist at ANZ Wealth’s chief investment office, the release said.
In addition, Abraham Akra has been tapped by Credit Suisse Australia as a senior analyst for the small-capitalization team, leading technology coverage, the bank said. Akra joined Credit Suisse Australia from Jefferies, and is also a veteran of Citi and CLSA, the statement said.
According to Akra’s LinkedIn profile, he was at Jefferies from 2019 to 2021, and was a senior equity research associate at CLSA, as well as a senior equity research associate at Citi.
