British asset manager Janus Henderson has hired a former Federated Hermes executive to lead intermediary sales in the region.
Alex Ng joins Janus Henderson as its Asia ex-Japan head of intermediary sales, according to a statement, reporting to Asia ex-Japan head of distribution Andrew Hendry.
In this newly created role, Ng will be responsible for leading and managing intermediary sales across Southeast Asia and Greater China with a focus on global banks.
Ng has 15 years of asset management experience, most recently at Federated Hermes where he was its Asia head of wholesale distribution. Previously, he also worked at abrdn, Lion Global Investors and Reliance Asset Management.
«[Ng] has client service experience stretching back two decades. His experience in leading the business areas at some of fund managements’ leading names will greatly contribute to our own growth in the region while enhancing our ability to meet our clients’ constantly evolving needs,» said Hendry.
