A veteran in the private equity industry has joined Hywin as a board member, bolstering the Chinese independent wealth manager’s capabilties in an increasingly coveted asset class.
Vincent Chun Hung Chan joins Hywin as a member of its board of directors, according to a statement.
Chan has over 28 years of experience in private equity in Asia with various firms including Samena Capital, HSBC Equity Management, Suez Asia, JAFCO Investment and Spring Capital. He is currently president and executive director of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association as well as listing review committee member for the city’s local bourse since 2020.
Hywin was established in 1989 and is headquartered in Chinese financial capital Shanghai. Wealth management is its largest business segment which focuses on providing asset allocation advisory services and financial products to high net worth clients in the country.
