The pursuit of Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon is heating up with South Korean police claiming he is «obviously on the run» after Singapore police said he left the city-state.

Over the weekend, the Singapore Police Force said that Terra founder Do Kwon is currently not in the city-state, adding that it would assist the South Korean police, as per domestic legislation and international obligations.

The statement on Saturday contrasts with the South Korean police’s claim last week that Kwon was residing in Singapore.

Last week, South Korean authorities issued an arrest warrant for Kwon and five other individuals while also requesting the revocation of his travel documents.

On the Run?

On Sunday, Kwon issued a statement claiming that he was not on the run.

«For any government agency that has shown interest to communicate, we are in full cooperation and we don’t have anything to hide,» Kwon said. «We are in the process of defending ourselves in multiple jurisdictions — we have held ourselves to an extremely high bar of integrity, and look forward to clarifying the truth over the next few months.»

Subsequently, South Korean prosecutors said Kwon was «obviously on the run», according to local media «Yonhap News Agency» citing unnamed sources, adding that he had plans to flee the country before the Luna collapse in May. Prosecutors also said that he has not cooperated with probes and has told investigators he has no intention to appear before them for questioning.
